Workshops: 4-8 participants receive personalized hands-on instruction for digital and film photography. We'll revisit basic photo composition and explore advance techniques and tricks. I'll follow up via the internet to answer questions and give creative tips and feedback.
Saturday, October 10th: Barrio Historico
Professional instruction focuses on architectural and cultural photography in Tucson's renowned historic district. Visit La Pilita Museum to explore photos by Jose Galvez, the Pulitzer Prize- winning photojournalist who grew up in Tucson's barrios. Cost: $45 per person, 8AM - 12PM
Saturday, October 17th: Classics Car Show
Document Tucson's Classics Car Show. Explore unique tips (including macro) for photographing the Southwest's best classic cars. Cost: $25 per person, 3PM - 5PM
Saturday, October 24th: Tohono Chul Park
Focus on nature and cultural photography. Photograph Tohono Chul's Day of the Dead altar and exhibit as well as the flora and fauna of the park. Cost: $40 per person includes admission to park, 9AM - 12PM
Sunday, November 1st: Dia de los Muertos Community Altars
Document the unique Day of the Dead altars throughout downtown Tucson including altars at La Pilita Museum, the Tucson Museum of Art, the Arizona History Museum and more. Cost $45, 8AM-12PM
Sunday, November 8th: 20th Annual All Souls Procession
Creative tips and special access for photographing Tucson's annual All Souls Procession - a two-mile ceremonial procession through downtown ending with the burning of a large urn. Time: evening Cost: $45 per person.
Sunday, November 15th: Tucson in the Full Moon
Focus on techniques for twilight and night photography. Capture Tucson in the full moonlight from Tumomac Hill. A short hike required. Cost: $35 per person, 4PM - 7PM
